Women are always judged by their appearance and their hair. In several cultures and religions, it’s forbidden to show youre hair when you are a married woman. Nowadays, every woman has long hair, it may not be gray, must be full, thick and long. I have depicted this theme by breaking down a wig and rebuilding it with a loom into a scarf, with which the hair can be covered again.

A carnival wig was taken apart, a scarf woven from the tufts of artificial hair, using a home-made loom. Weaving is women's work, cottage industry, a manual skill.
